ECOTOURS River Kayaking

When planning a cruise, we and our friends were made aware of the activities available from Ecotours. We decided to take the kayaking trip offered by Pascal, rather than the many options offered by the cruise line. We could not have made a better decision! The river was tranquil, beautiful and scenic. The pace was leisurely, not only ensuring there was was time to take in the wonderful scenery, but also that it was easily managed by those of us rapidly entering the senior citizen ranks. Pascal and Henry could not have been more friendly or knowledgeable. We heartily recommend the services of Ecotours.

Muy linda travesía a través de un hermoso río, además de disfrutar de la compañía de gente del sector cuando atravesamos un puente. Un tour fácil de realizar y que uno disfruta mucho. Y después, disfrutar del río nadando y saltando a lo Tarzán. Finalmente, Pascal, nos preparó un rico coctel de frutas de la zona. Una experiencia para realizar sin dudarlo.

Super !

J'ai beaucoup apprécié mes deux sorties avec Ecotour, la première en vtt et la seconde en kayack. Pascal nous fait partager son expérience et son amour pour le Vanuatu, il nous emmène à la découverte de paysages grandioses, à la rencontre de la population locale, tout celà avec beaucoup de professionnalisme, mais toujours dans une ambiance détendue et chaleureuse.

I contacted Pascal by email a few months before going. He always replied within a few hours and was very friendly. When the time finally came, he picked us up at Iririki jetty perfectly on time for our kayaking adventure. Henry was the other guide with us on the trip. Henry was with us at the back of the van and gave us great comments about the area we were travelling through. Once we got to the river, Pascal and Henry made sure we were comfortable in our kayaks before we took off. Pascal gave me a cushion, and it did make a difference, I was so comfy in my kayak!!! The equipment is brand new and the kayaks are very stable. I loved the leisurely pace down the river so I could take lots of photos. Pascal and Henry were very informative all along and kept on making sure everyone was fine. At the end we had a swim and fresh fruits. What a great morning! Thank you Pascal and Henry. Next time, I'll come to your Cascades.

Avec Pascal, nous avons passé une matinée inoubliable en kayak dans la forêt tropicale et la mangrove sur la rivière Rentapao.
Malgré nos 60 ans, la ballade en kayak qui dure près de 2 heures n'a aps été difficile, mais enchanteresse.
Nous avons apprécié également les commentaires apportés par Pascal qui est plein de chaleur et d'énergie.
Oui, nous avons passé un sacré bon moment qui s'est terminé dans son magnifique jardin au bord de la rivière à déguster de délicieux fruits exotiques.

Take plenty of sunscreen, a sun shirt, reef shoes and if you have a waterproof camera (or waterproof pouch for your camera) there are so many interesting things to photograph along the way.

I was initially a bit apprehensive about kayaking, simply because I had never done it before. However, my fears soon disappeared as the river revealed itself to be calm and easy to negotiate. We had so much fun; cruising up the beautiful Renapao River and along the way, Pascal and his assistant Henry, chatted to us about life on the river. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the vegetation and the local communities and of course, the scenery was breathtakingly beautiful.

Pascal provided us with freshly squeezed lemon juice drinks and snacks of whatever local produce was on hand; in our case, coconuts and sweet grapefruits.

At the end of our Renapao River trip, there was time for a swim. . . and for all the Tarzan lovers, a rope swing! Whoa! Fun for all!

The tour duration was about four hours in length and was around the $55 mark, proving to be excellent value for money.

guide was very knowledgeable on the flora and fauna as well as local customs and traditions of the area. Gorgeous scenery. Easy to use kayaks, even for a beginner. The guides were very relaxed and flexible to our desires. trip is well organized. Would highly recommend it to everyone.
