Santo is a diver’s paradise with one amazing experience after another; in the tropical warm waters you will find the SS President Coolidge, Million Dollar Point not to mention the reefs. And for a different experience try diving in one of Santos natural spring blue holes.
SS President Coolidge
Depth: 20–60 metres (60–200 feet)
SS President Coolidge is Santo’s premier dive site, this site is a cruise ship from World War II converted into a troop carrier and sunk by a friendly mines. The wreak is almost completely intact allowing you swim though the many decks and cargo holds still full with its war cargo.
Million Dollar Point
Depth: 5–30 metres (15–100 feet)
At the end of World War II the US military took all of its equipment and dumped it in the ocean creating reef full of history. The dive site is so name due to the estimated value of what was left at the bottom.
Cindy’s Reef
Depth: 5–30 metres (15–100 feet)
Cindy’s reef is a drift dive that has a plethora of fish and coral life as well as the unique “Potato Head” coral. Diver can often spot some of the more exciting sea life such as turtles and sharks.
SS Tucker
Depth: 15–25 metres (45–85 feet)
The US Destroyer SS Tucker is spread along the sea floor allowing divers to swim from stern to bow stopping at the wreak bombies along the way.
Tui Tawate
Depth: 40–45 metres (120–135 feet)
This New Zealand tug boat was used to salvage oil from the SS Coolidge, the boat now sits upright on the sea floor.
Fantastic
Depth: 26–42 metres (85–140 feet)
This isolated reef is a photographer’s heaven; this reef is just teaming with life from the schools of bait fish to the spanish dancers.
Chails Reef
Depth: 5–20 metres (15–60 feet)
Chails Reef dive is not to be missed, this is one of the most stunning reef dives in all of Vanuatu. This highly protected dive site ensures calm waters, little to no current and crystal clear visibility. You’ll see an amazing variety of coral and this is a great dive for spotting crayfish, turtles and sharks.
Tutuba Point
Depth: 5–30 metres (15–100 feet)
This dive has it all — caves, swim throughs, chasms, crayfish, and an abundance of spectacular hard and soft corals that seem to go on forever. Incredible visibility makes this a favorite reef dive among our divers.
Blue Holes
Freshwater dive | Depth: varies
Try this unique dive experience, Santo has several jungle blue holes these are spring feed waterholes in the middle of the jungle. Amazing scenery and a relaxing day out.
