Cascades Capers Hot

Our family group - my husband (55 yrs & fit), three young people (16 - 22 yrs & very fit) and I (53 years, not very fit & with some heath issues - type 1 diabetes & angina) - undertook the abseil on 26/09/11. We were joined by another young couple. I had contacted Troy prior to leaving Australia to discuss the suitability of the tour for my level of fitness & health issues & from the start he was very supportive & accomodating. Troy & his staff bent over backwards to help me - putting on an extra Monday afternoon tour, allowing me to do the demanding climb up to the top of the waterfall at my own pace & providing a guide just to assist me all the way. I also had told Troy of the apprehension I felt after my one abseilling experience back in my 20's, & he could not have been more sensitive to this, organising for me to do the practice drop without the whole group watching me. This part of Efate is absolutely beautiful, and without Troy & his wonderful staff's support and encouragement I might have missed out on a truly memorable experience. The tour was very well run, with plenty of crew to move the group through the practice abseil & the two stages of the waterfall without any more waiting around than necessary. At one stage I got into a small spot of bother and the guide was right there to help me. The guides took masses of photographs along the way too. Definitely put this one on the list of "must dos" in Efate.

I successfully abseiled down the waterfall this December! I just wanted to say tell everyone about the wonderful experience provided to me by Edge staff. They were incredibly patient and friendly with everyone. It was truly a surreal experience; especially for someone like me who's very scared of heights.

I work in a highly trained search & rescue squad. Last trip to Vanuatu, my son and I went on the EDGE abseiling trip at Mele waterfalls. I was very impressed with all aspects of the rappelling experience....from the high standard of equipment and safety, to the high standard of staff training.
My son was initially apprehensive about the idea, but after receiving staff instruction, he was more than ready for the big abseil. He said that it was the best thing he has ever done. I have never abseilled a waterfall before and I thought it was fantasic, in fact the whole group was buzzing with excitement. If you are looking for a very unique and exciting experience, you can't go to Vanuatu without having a go at this. Thanks guys.

We have just returned from a week in Vanuatu,and the best thing we did was,book a half day Cascade abseiling adventure with your company " EDGE ".Your qualified guide Zeak Smith and his staff for the day (Tuesday 27th October 2009)John and his mates were great.I had never abseiled before ,and the training on the 8m cliff before the big 50m water fall drop was great.They taught you what to do and what not to do!We all had a great day together.And I've got the photo CD to prove that I did it.I'm 48 years old.I will be recomending your company to any one that is going to Vanuatu for a holiday.Thank you for a great day.
